You can choose your own color palette, but it is important to know how to coordinate them with clothing pieces.

FIND YOUR BASICS

Your closet’s main colors are your basics. This means you will wear these clothes most often or most of the time. These are the essential pieces that you cannot live without, such as jeans, trousers and jackets. Before you choose basic colors, determine your skin’s color undertone. Warm-based yellows and reds will suit people with warm skin tones. You will also look great in clothes with yellow-green and coral tints. Cool blue items should not be included in your wardrobe. People with cool undertones can’t go wrong purchasing clothes in purple, green, and navy blue. But, just because you have chosen red as your main colour doesn’t mean you can only wear that color. Red skirts, tops, and shoes all together can make you look pompous and unattractive. This effect should be avoided!

USE NEUTRAL COLORS

You need neutrals to complement your basic colors. These colors are easy to find. Black, white, gray, navy blue, khaki and burgundy are the most common neutral colors. You can also use near neutral colors like gray-blue and burgundy or olive green. There are likely to be several white shirts, beige pants or black jeans in the closet. Don’t wear neutrals alone, as it will make your look boring and uninteresting. Use neutrals in combination with your main color. Don’t forget to include highlights.

ADD HIGHLIGHT SHADES

Highlights will make your look stand out. You can use a single item, but it must match your key outfit and accessories. You can also use other colors than your primary color for accessories.
